It means the computer has stored a code indicating a problem with some component. You need to have the vehicle scanned at a local part store such as AutoZone or buy a diagnostic scanner and scan yourself. This will give you the code and what it is indincating. Post the code(s) you retrieve and I will help with diagnosing the issue.
