2002 Jeep Laredo electric cooling fan fails to run

how to troubleshoot the electric cooling fan?
I assume it should come on at a certain water temperature, but it doesn't. Turning on the AC doesn't make it run either, i'm not sure if it's supposed to run when the AC is running, but I think it should. Just installed new thermostat(engine) as the gasket was leaking. At idle, or 'not moving' it heats up to red zone, but driving it around the block cools it back down. Thanks for any tips

Do you have a manual belt driving fan and one electric or just electric?

Electric fan should come on with ac especially once engine reaches hot operating temperature after thermostat opens.

Check for voltage at the coolign fan.

If thers voltage but no fan response the fan is bad.

If no voltage check the relay.
