2002 Jeep Laredo cooling fan not kicking on

2002 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130k miles

My cooling fan is not kicking on, I am going to check the relay and wire the fan to see if the motor is ok. My a/c would not kick on however since the fan quit working. If I get the fan fixed should this fix the a/c problem?
