1997 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

why does my battery go dead after sitting for 2 or more days? I have had it to a Chrysler dealer and they have checked it out for a short and cannot find anything. I have also bought 3 new batteries in the last 8 months.

You probably have soemthing that is draining your battery without knowledge, such as a wire rubbing on something but may not show that it is shorting out, your alternator could be going bad too and draining your battery.....sometimes alternators go bad but still function partly and will not make your car die right away or make drain the battery right away. If no one has tested the alternator, have it tested first, if it has been tested then have someone with a good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems check it over....dealers do not always have awesome electrical experts fyi.
