1996 Jeep Laredo steering wheel shakes like a jackhammer

1996 Jeep Laredo Two Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

Whenever I go over a bump going fast, my steering wheel shakes uncontrollably like a jackhammer and the car sounds like one. I have to put on my breaks for it to stop. What is causing this?

Check the drag link on the front to make sure it isn't bad. Also, check all steering components.
