Why does white smoke come out from exhaust when car is idle?

You could have a blown head gasket. Does your temp gauge flucuate up or down? Does your exhaust smell different than your used to.

You most likely have a blown headgasket there is a couple of things to check. Check your oil and make sure it has no moister in it. It will look white. Next start your truck cold with the radiator cap off make sure it is full of fluid before you start it. If it boils out the fluid then it is defanatly a head gasket but if it doesnt it may just be a small leak and not big enough to push out the coolant. The next step would be to pull your spark plugs and check to see if any of them are white or orange looking. If you see this you have a blown head gasket.
