00 grand cherokee needs help fast

ive got a 2000 laredo limited, with 100000 on it. its been starting strangely lately. sometimes i gotta turn key twice, sumtimes it turns over longer than it should. i just replaced the battery biengs it still had the orginal and now itl just click and thats it. wont turn over no nothing. im curious what the sensor under the battery does and if that is causing me my problem. not sure if i put it in properly. i tried jumping the connector on it and still nothing. please help its my only transportation.

Its your jeep cranking but not starting or it just wont crank?
