2001 Jeep Cherokee directional signal

my directional signals stopped working
when I pushed the lever up or down the arrow would blink once , the emergency flashers still worked

I replaced the directional - hazard flasher under the dashboard

Now directional signals & hazard lights do not work
I have checked the fuse & it is OK.
What is your advice
