Brakes problem
2001 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 130000 miles

I went to start my truck this morning and there was a loud pop noise then it started and my brakes were rock hard. I have to press real hard to slow down to a stop? Thoughts?

Hello,

Check the hose going to the brake booster. If hose is still connected and in good shape remove it and check for vacuum. Also check the valve the hose connects to at the booster. If all that looks good it is possible the booster has failed.
