Hi there, 1995 jeep cherokee sport 4.0lt. 6cyl. Hvac problem the short of the story is that the blower motor is not functioning, not even on high. I know that if it was functioning on high, then it could be a bm resistor issue, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Given that I went ahead and replaced the blower motor, as that's what most likely seemed to be the issue. What I didn't, but should have done was test for power at the connector, because I installed the new motor and it will not work either. I replaced the ac relay in the pdc, no luck. I've looked at the fuse schematic in the owners manual, and that's the only fuse/relay that seems to be connected to the system. So at this point i'm not sure what I should be looking for. I can't really figure out where the blower motor is supposed to draw power from, and subsequently why it's not getting said power. Any ideas?

To get you started, look at the ignition switch. They can develop burned contacts, especially if you use the heater fan on the highest speeds a lot. Also look for two blackened terminals in the connector and signs of melting on the plastic connector body.

If everything looks good at the connector, use a test light to find the two or three 12 volt feed wires, then turn the switch to "run" and look for the additional wires that get 12 volts. I don't have a service manual for that year, but you'll be looking for a pretty fat wire that doesn't get 12 volts or the test light just lights up dimly. If you find one like that you can use a stretched out cotter pin to jump 12 volts to it to see if the fan runs. If that works, suspect the switch.

Hey, sorry had a bad week. Got my finger caqught in my shop vac motor fan. Needless to say im stiched up. Lol
Okay, I checked those fuses, and they get power, I took my switches off my dash and messed up the "zone" switch so I ordered a new one which I got today. Once I figure out how to install new switch- what if blower motor still doesnt get power? You mentioned resistor. Where is that? My manual doesnt exactly give me a location.
Thnx 4 help!
