1999 Jeep Cherokee TPS

I relaced the tps on the grand cherokee and it will start idle for a second and then die, I hooked a computer up to it and the reading says high output ont he tps but there is no wiring problems what else could it be?

Welcome to the forum, did you check ref voltage-- signal-- ground at the sensor connector. Orange wire is 5 volt ref, brown wire with yellow stripe is ground, the other wire is signal. If your scanner shows live engine data, if you turn on the key, no crank, you can watch the sensor signal move up and down as you move the throttle. Because the sensor shares ref voltage and ground with other sensors, I can't rule out that another sensor is causing a problem?
