Suspension problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

Until recently this jeep was fine on the highway but the it started trying to walk and shimmy from the front end at around 55-65mph. I am unable to get above that speed wise. The steering wheel shakes back and forth to the point of almost being uncontrolable. I have no idea what the problem could be. Can you please give me some suggestions on what to check. It is a 98 jeep grand cherokee 5.9L V-8 Limited.

HI there,

This could be a problem with the steering or suspension, have the front end checked for worn components, you should get a qualified mechanic to do this as there are specific items that need checking with a trained eye, also have the wheel bearings checked and tyre condition, start here.
