1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport Problems Dying

1998 Cherokee Sport w/ 97,000 miles. 4.0L V6. I'm having a problem with the car dying while driving. It has happend 3 times in the last 24 hours. Driving along at 30-40mph and the car loses power. Have to stop and turn off and try and re-start. The battery cranks fine. Only 1 1/2 years old. When I'm stopped at a light it idles fines at about 1500rpm. A few times it has taken about 2 minutes for it to re-start. Just cranks and won't turn over. Then will die again if you press on gas. Sort of like it's flooded. But I know that isn't the problem.
