So this probelm first started with my high beams and now creeps into my lows also.

I will be dirivng along, swithc on ym high beams and they will be fine for maybe 15-20 seconds. Then the lights cut out, both low and high. When I switch off the high beams there is no change. I push the switch off on the low beams, and pull it back out and I get lows again.

Now it has also happened recently that the lows will cut out and I have to mess with the plunger a little to get them back on. I do not have to go all the way in and back out again when this happens, just slightly in and pull again.

I think it is the switch, but is there a way to confirm?

Hello, you can backtrack the wiring circuit when the problem occurs. Violet is the primary wiring color, low beam, headlite. Use a testlite, with the switch turned on, low beam, check for voltage. No voltage, back the circuit to a couple of fuses, one for left and right, Fuse 4 and fuse 5, 10 amp. See if the fuse circuits are hot. If not, the circuit leads back to the dimmer switch. The dimmer gets feed from the headlite switch. We can check feed to and from the headlite switch when the problem occurs?
