I just purchased 2 weeks ago and it was running perfectly, I noticed oil in the drive way and a knocking noise suddenly. I popped the hood and found oil sprayed on the bottom of the hood and on parts of the engine. What is the problem and how much will it cost to fix? Please help me. Thank you for you time.

Can you tell aprox where the oil came from? Was the oil cap on the engine? Was the engine oil low that could have caused something in the engine to go bad? What parts of the engine was wet? The only thing I can think of if the oil was on the underside of the hood is the oil cap or a pcv valve.

Let me know.

Joe

The cap was on and I believe the oil was coming from the right side of the engine. A friend thinks I may need a head and a valve job done? Is this the cause of the knocking noise? Thank You so much for your time.
