I have a 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4wd, it has around 355000++Plus miles on it. There are no major problems, but there is a constant squealing coming from the front of the car. It is a low squeal when the Jeep is idling, but once I go to accelerate the squeal becomes very loud. I have tried chaning the belt thinking that was the problem, but it is not. It also is running hot when you are idling. My brother thinks that it may be the water pump and/or water pump bearings going out on the Jeep. The squealing is getting worse, and right now I am in the middle of purchasing a new home and the Jeep has to stay with me for some time before I get ready to replace it. So I can make any repairs needed. But replacing the Jeep is out of the question.
