So the deal is, I had replaced my belt because the other one was old, worn and squealing. Everything was fine and quiet for a little less than a day. Then all of a sudden, it started with a much louder much more obnoxious squeal. It wont do it when the car is idling, it will do it as i drive and slow when i slow down and will stop when push in the clutch and increase as speed increases as well as when i rev the engine. It's not a wheel bearing because it does it when im not in motion. The part where it stops when i push in the clutch is confusing. it sounds like it might be coming from the alternator but im not sure. Was curious if anyone had any input?
