Compression on 5 of 6 cyl 125, one cyl 50 plug wet.
My problem is I have gas washing into the oil pan. I'm assuming it is a broken ring, but could it possibly be a gas pressure regulator. How can you tell the difference?

If the compression is that low, the fuel isn't being burned and building up and washing into the crankcase. If you want to determine if it is rings, do what is called a wet compression test. Pour oil into the cylender and quickly check compression. If it goes up, the rings (at least) are worn, broken, or damaged.
