Car wont start thinks its in gear not in park. Have been told it is inhibitor switch. As I cannot start it to take it anywhere where can I find the inhibitor on the gear box (a diagram would be brilliant) so that I can either change or adjust.

Also can this be bi past to start the car.

Many thanks

Switch is located on the drivers side of the trans. Where the shift cable attaches.
It controls the start circuit and back up lights. It is adjustable.
Have you checked the start relay? If this has failed it will cause the same problem.
