[color=darkblue:7eae3b9d8f][i:7eae3b9d8f]My sovereign windscreen mist's up when I go faster than 70mph. A grey film comes over the windscreen, starting just above the vents on the dash board. I have noticed too, that there is condensation in an arch pattern in the same area and that my drivers mat is constantly damp, also sometimes, what seems like a clear, water like type of liquid drips on my left foot. I have checked for possible leaks and holes all around the car and can't find any.
Can anyone help me with this query as I have made several attempts to find out what might be the cause, but have been unsuccessful?[/i:7eae3b9d8f][/color:7eae3b9d8f][/b]

it is not a heater core. the drain for the heater box is plugged. there is one on each side since you say there is water on the drivers flow then i would have to say it is the drivers side. pull back the carpet and it should be right ont he transmission tunnel by the gas pedal

Suggested Repair

Check the driver's side heater box drain, which one expert says is plugged. Pull back the carpet; it should be on the transmission tunnel near the gas pedal, and clear the drain so water does not enter the cabin and mist the windshield. Another expert suspected a leaking heater core, so if the fluid is coolant rather than clear water, have the heater core inspected as well.

Conversation Summary

The owner of a Jaguar reports windshield misting above 70 mph, a grey film starting just above the dash vents, an arch of condensation in the same area, a constantly damp driver's mat, and a clear water-like drip onto the left foot. No exterior leaks or holes were found. One expert suspected the heater core. A second expert said it is not the heater core and that the driver's side heater box drain is plugged, located under the carpet on the transmission tunnel by the gas pedal.
