This could be any number of concerns, the first and most basic is when was your last complete tune up? I am talking wires, plugs, PCV all filters? If no codes are present start with the basic stuff, just like the 50's! Let me know where you stand with it after the tune up. You may have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak! You want the engine running and spray on the outside but do direct the stream onto the hoses, if it is a vacuum leak, the engine idle will change speed, then you have detected a leak, repair the vacuum leak and see how it runs!
Then test the fuel pump pressure.
Is you yellow check engine light on, or flashing?
