Manual Roll-up window

I have a 1997 Isuzu rodeo with manual roll-up windows. My back left window will not roll up all the way. It seems as though the crank mechanism has malfunctioned. How do I take that piece off or manually push the window up so it will at least stay up?

Take off the door panel. You will need a special tool designed to take off the crank handle. It's available from napa for around $5. Then pop off the little trim plugs and remove the screws behind them. Take out the screw from the door handle and the 2 screws from the armrest. Then pull out on the panel and the clips will release. (You may need to use a long screwdriver to pry off the panel from there. Inside the door there will be a track with a white plastic "runner" that is attached to the window. Unbolt the window from this and remove the 3 bolts that hold the track in place. Then remove the mechanism that holds the crank handle. The track and gear mechanism will slide out of the door via the biggest cut-out. You probably have a frayed cable that is binding up the mechanics of the regulator.
