door wont open.

My 1999 Isuzu Rodeo's driver side front door wont open from the outside. I had recently slammed it a little too hard and now the door handle lifts up but the door doesnt open. It works from the inside. I was wondering what the problem was and if I can fix it myself.

It sounds like you have a control rod that has fallen off becasue the retainer clip has broken. Here are some guides and diagram (Below) to help you take it apart and get the problem fixed.
