My dad has a 1992 izuzu 4 cylender 2.6 pickup truck after sitting over night or for a period of time it wont start but if u give it a little squirt of gas it starts right up and runs fine all summer it worked fine but it seems like now that the tempeture is dropped it starts harder is there a temp switch in this truck that controls the fuel somewhat it almost seems like where its cold now the injectors are not opening when they should any help here would be appreciated or could it be a crank sensor doing it

There are several sensors that control the fuel mixture, but I think your problem may be a fuel pressure rregulator problem. Try this, put a c-clamp on the rubber part of the fuel line when the truck is imediately shut off, then let the truck sit idle and then try and start it, if it fires right up then it is loosing pressure due to a bad fuel pressure regulator, also if there is gas in the vaccum line that is the problem.

How long does your fuel pump run after the ignition is turned to the on position.

Also try turning the key to the on positiion and leave it for 5 seconds, then turn it off and repeat this 4 times on the fifth time try to start it if so replace the regulator.
