Is it necessary to replace my clicking actuator

The actuator is clicking in my car and I cannot afford to pay $200.00 to $500.00 to have it replaced at a shop. Turning the knob to the recirculated air kicks on the AC motor which stops the clicking, but sucks the gas (like every AC does).

Is it vital that the thing needs replaced right away or can I just deal with the annoying clicking?

The heater and the AC both work just fine, but I will try the fuse tonight. Thanks =)

when you pull the fuse it resets the actuator, so it may stop clicking that you are experiencing. If not the actuator is probably bad.
