Hello, I have the vehicle listed above and I lost the key for it. So I changed out the old ignition cylinder with key. I had to drill the old one out didn't damage anything but the actual ignition cylinder to get it out and believe me it wasn't easy, lol. I got it out and put the new ignition cylinder with key in now as I start the vehicle it wont stay started like it's not getting enough gas or something can anyone help?

Hello, I'm assuming this problem wasn't happening before you replaced the ignition switch? If you're concerned about a fuel issue, here is a quick guide to help with that, and actually if you go to AutoZone or advanced auto they will rent you the tool for free, you get your money back when you return the fuel pressure tester, as for many other tools, they will scan the computer for diagnostic trouble codes as well for free.

Well, it wasn't doing that with the fuel before I changed the ignition lock cylinder so could it be a pass like anti theft mode that would prevent the fuel pump from engaging?

It's a possibility, but I would do a fuel pressure test first to see if that's what you're actually losing. It could be a bad switch too, I know it's new, but we've been having a rash of bad aftermarket parts, the start circuit and run circuit and 2 different circuits coming out of the ignition switch, so finding out what's dropping out first, like ignition power (run position) from that new ignition switch is first.

You need to run a fuel pressure test and see what's going on, you need to verify that you are not losing fuel pressure. Go to AutoZone or advance Auto and they let you rent one you just have to pay for it and then give you your money back when you return it. Is the security light flashing on the dashboard when you're trying to crank it over?

Does it stay on while cranking? It should go out, if not the running for 2 seconds and shutting down is normal. You may need to have the new key programmed/re-coded to the security system. Most shops can do this with a scan tool.

This very well may be. What's the average cost for something like that?

It actually shouldn't be too much, just make sure they have a scan tool that can get into the security system to relearn the new key.
