Hi Tina,

It sounds like the ignition tumber/lock is worn out which is a common problem. Yo fix the problem the tumbler must be replaced also you will need to get it from the dealer so they can re-code the key for you so the security will work correctly.

There is an outside chance the shifter cable is coming apart down at the transmission or where it plugs into the steering column. Check both ends while trying to shift it to see if they move at all.
