I just bought this car 3 days ago from a dealership. It doesn't have an exte4nded warranty, but they will give 15 days to take the car back to them with any issues to fix, so I'm trying to see if the issues I'm having are issues that need attention or if its something I can do myself to fix. I noticed the car idles rough when stopped at lights or stop signs, it idles even more rough with the ac running, but aside from that, ive also noticed when I push the gas a little harder than normal, the car seems to jump into third gear. This is the only gear that will do that, after it shifts into third, it drives normally. It is an automatic, so I'm worried about the transmission being an issue. If I'm not pushing the gas, such as accelerating onto a freeway or something, the car drives like a dream, its only when trying to accelerate quickly. Please help, I don't want to be stuck with a lemon, I have limited funds, and I would like to get this resolved before my 2 week warranty expires. Thank you

I understand that its better to get it fixed for free, that is why I am asking what is wrong. They will fix, but I need to know what is wrong with it first. If it is something simple, I may not need to go back, the dealership is not close to my house. All I was looking for were possible solutions or a response to what the problem could be. But thank you for your obvious answer.

It has to be scanned for codes and fuel pressure checked before anything can be done and or look for hoses disconnected plug wires etc. If you don't know what you are doing we can't see it to give you a good answer it may be something else entirely.

Makes sense. I wasnt sure if a car could be scanned for codes if there was no check engine light or sign of a problem. Nor was I sure codes could read transmission problems. Im not so much concerned abt the way the car idles as I am the jumping into third gear. Ive taken it back and asked them to drive it, but the issue only happens when it wants to it seems. When he drove it and my boyfriend drove it, it did nothing of the sort.
