It's making a loud noise.

What type of noise is it making? Clearly if it is making noise then it needs replaced but this could be a pump so we just need to make it is the converter.

If it proves out then we need to remove the transmission and replace it.

It's making a loud noise like something is broke around the torque converter.

Okay. If the vehicle is still moving then the stator is most likely not broken but it could be in the process of breaking so if it is noisy then it clearly needs replaced. It would probably be a good idea to just replace the pump as well while you are in there. It is not common to go into the transmission so that is another component that normally fails and you are literally right there so you mine as well replace it.
