Hello,

I watched your YouTube video on changing my gearbox, but I wanted to know how you keep from having to do an alignment afterwards.

Do you have to mark the pitman arm or does it have a one way spline?

Thanks in advance

Most pitman arms have four possible positions so it is pretty hard to get it into the wrong position. I would still advise doing an alignment after that repair. If the truck was previously aligned with a sloppy pitman arm, it may be off when the looseness is removed.
