I have the car listed above (W201). I was attempting to replace my fuel injectors because it was not running very smooth (vibrations when throttle is pressed when car is cold). I removed the old injectors and sprayed some carburetor cleaner spray in the holes where you place the injectors in an attempt to clean it. This has unfortunately backfired I guess. I placed the new injectors with new seals and put everything back in but the car would crank but not start. I thought the new injectors might be faulty so I placed the old ones again but still the car would crank but not start. Have I done a fatal mistake by spraying the carburetor cleaner spray in the holes where the injectors are placed? Is this a case of flooding? I left the car to sit for hours then tried again but to no avail. I have recently replaced the spark plugs and fuel pump and fuel pump relay are working fine. Please help
