I was wondering, I been getting this oil leak every time I notice this leak is when the engine is starting /warming up yet, stops then after I let the engine cool every mourning when I go to my van I notice these three dropping of oil and I notice it is only happening in the same area (Front of Van, Under Oil Pan, Crankshaft Area ) I was told by One mechanic it could be the Oil Pressure sensor near the Oil filter, another thinks it could be the o-ring in the oil filter area since the Oil leak is noticeable when the engine is starting to cool. I also notice I am burning oil quicker in the winter time but, I am also thinking that this oil leak is also contributing to this oil leak. So I was wondering what oil leak issues occur with Mazda MPV 1992. Secondly, Have you heard of issues like this? What would you recommend?

Oil leaks are common on any engine. Yours is no different. The cause has to be located by looking at it. Look for the highest place you see oil since it only runs down. However, it can be blown around too by driving, so you can't always go by where it shows up on the ground. It can run along some areas too and drip down somewhere not right over the source of the leak.

For very slow leaks like you described, what works best is to wash the area, then add a small bottle of dark purple dye to the oil. Search a day or two later with a black light. The dye will show up as a bright yellow stain that you can follow back to the source. Auto parts stores will have the dye, and those that borrow or rent tools should have a black light.
