My battery is weak and has hard time turning starter over. With a jump it starts but now it wont turn over at all. Alternator is good I checked. Is it starter?

First verify your battery is not the problem. Also make sure cable ends are bright shiny and clean. If there is corrosion that will give you problems. Most auto parts store can charge and test your battery for you. They do bench test on starters also but I find those test unreliable since out the vehicle they always work fine (after all, it is not trying to turn an engine over). So start with checking the battery. Here is a link on how to load test one.

As stated earlier, have the battery checked to be 100% sure. If it is good with a volt meter check for battery voltage at the starter battery cable. If no good make sure there is no corrosion. If good then unplug the starter signal wire. With volt meter and with someone holding the key to the run position you should see battery voltage. If you do then replace the starter.

Cables might have excessive corrosion inside of them if you do not get the same voltage at starter cable post as you have on battery.
