transmission removal?

I have a slow leak coming from the transaxle case just behind the motor. I checked the fluid level with the dip stick per the owners manual. The car sometimes lurches backward when put into reverse gear. How do you replace this seal and is it a difficult task to do for average do it yourselfer?

Anything is possible it like my dad says its just nuts and bolts. Here are the instructions in the diagrams below to show you how to remove the transmission. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens. Here is a video that shows the job being done on a similar car the process is the same.
