Engine Mechanical problem
2004 Other Hyundai Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 55k miles

I bought a Coupe 2.0l dohc as listed above. It has since had 5 different lumbda sensors fitted, it drives for apx 20 - 30miles then the engine management light comes back on after each new replacement.
The symptoms are a strong exhaust fume smell that is more noticeable and the performance drops considerably also. On accelleration and with each gear change it becomes very jerky and stalls easier.
Could you help me with this problem please as I have it back to my local Hyundai Garage next week for the 5th time in the last two months, they repair it gladly but I cannot continue taking it backwards and forwards for this repair and my warranty runs out in February. Was hoping you may have had similar problems in your archive from previous members.
Regards
Michelle

Hi:
What sensor has been replaced? Also, tell the garage that they are not fixing the problem. There must be something causing the sensor to go bad. Also, since this is a existing problem, they need to make sure the warranty will extend to repair it.
