tdc/camshaft alignment

It seems like all the repair manuals on this subject, deals with replacing the timing belt, and thats fine, but:

They dont say anyting when the timing belt breaks while driving, and what the process is to finding tdc and aligning the camshaft gears....
can you help with this????

thank you

I am assuming you have removed the heads and are know trying to replace them. You need to have the number 1 cylinder @ top dead center on the compression stroke.
Good luck and let us know how it goes. :)
