2001 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 138,00 miles

I went for a oil change at Tires plus and was told that I needed new brakes, Caliphers and rear brakes cleaned. I told them that I woild have that done in a month or so. Sine then I did not drive my car until today to have the repairs done.
I am now, told that I need a new thermostat, a head gasket cap and radiator flush. I'm wondering why wasn't this recommended on my first report with the brakes etc.
Thank you

Hi Tru
well there could be a couple reasons. maybe the head gasket wasn't leaking at that time. Maybe two diff mechs looked at the car and one missed the gasket.

And maybe you don't need any of it .But if your doctor told you that you needed surgery you would want a second opinion. or your furnace man plumber etc.

so if you have doubts and you obviously do then take the car to another shop and see if the mech agrees with them.. good luck
