2002 Hyundai Accent Automatic 70000 miles

The past couple of days when I back out of the parking spot at work the car makes this horrible screeching noise but when I turn the wheel straight it stops. It doesn't happen all of the time but has happened the past 2 days. I am not sure what it is. Please advise.

Does the screech happen when you turn the wheel all the way to the left or right when backing out?

The loud noise only occurs when it has been raining and I turn the wheel to the left.

Sounds like the serpentine belt is slipping when moisture comes in contact with the belt. When was the last time the belt was changed? Try getting the belt changed. Let me know how it goes
