2002 Hyundai Accent shifting pattern

Sometime slow to down shift when I do not make a complete stop. Also seems to shift the third gear and immediately down shift or shift another gear. After driving for 3 or 4 mile it does not appear to down shift after shifting the third gear.

Hi boggs2,

Most probably the trans has some solenoid or sensor problem and the TCM would lock the gear in 3rd speed, resulting in no upshift or downshift.

It is best to have the trans looked into or you might kill it one day.
