Computer problem
2000 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Fuel pump recently went out, replaced it, still not working, reset computer, fuel pump comes on 2 seconds then off, turn key off then on, another 2 sec. Burst. Cycles 4 times, then you need to reset computer to get 4 more bursts of fuel, engine control relay is working, fuel pump relay works, if you short to ground the relay to computer control wire. With fuel pump running in this manner (bypassing computer) car will still not start. What do I check from here?

System will allow fuel pump to run for 2 seconds when ignition switch is turned to ON.

You should be checking for sparks.

I found the problem. Twas the crank position sensor. Replaced it. Runs great.
