I'm trying to replace the bearings on my truck but can't seem to get the hub off. There is no cotter pin to remove. I even took brake and caliper loose to get to rotor and pull that way. But to no avail. So now what do I look for?

That truck is equipped with a Dana 35, look at the illustration and tell me how far you have gotten on removing the hub

Well now I'm up to the wheel retainer. But I don't have a deep socket big enough to fit. Thinking it takes a 38-40mm deep socket. Have tried channel locks and a pipe wrench, but both keep slipping.

They sell those four-wheel-drive hub sockets at your local park stores that are under $20
