How to remove a steering column tilt lever knob

Can you please tell me how to remove a steering column tilt lever knob?

If it is the same as those from the late 1990's, it unscrews. Look for two flats, about a half inch long, about an inch from the steering column cover. If it is tight enough to require a wrench, that is the place to use it. You will need one smaller than 1/4". You can find wrenches that small in ignition wrench sets. You can also wrap a rag around the shaft, (about two or three layers), then grab it with a pliers.

2002 Ram has a small paddle that pulls off. If you pull it toward the steering wheel while twisting it. Then you remove the bottom steering column shroud and there is a bolt that holds the lever itself to the column.
