2001 Dodge Ram starts in third gear

My truck starts in third gear. If you manually change the gears on the column it changes fine. I have taken it to several mechanics with no luck. No codes show at all.

Hi
Will trans shift from 3rd to 4th OD? Has anyone checked pressures? Ran a scann of trans sensors and solenoids? Where these general repair shops or trans shops?

Yes it will go into over drive just will not shift down. Have not checked pressure because trans changes fine with no slips manually. Scanned solenoids and no codes running it is running desired pressure on governor solenoid. Output speed sensor is working. Also, noticed the air conditioner runs in all positions don't know if this has anything to do with transmission.
