Honda Prelude 84. 215000 1800cc. Everytime I accelarated the car the power went missing. The seller said it was the distributor cap - cracked. The car just did not start one morning. I bought a new cap took it to a mechanic and he made a mistake, putting a new battery in as well, the wrong side. Then there was nothing. No power. I replaced the 60A fuse, and the engine was swinging but not starting, just as before. Mechanic came and saw that no gas is coming through. He put in a manual petrol pump, which he connected to the coil. The car starts now, but when stepping on the gas, there is no power. Goes to to maybe 4000rpm. We turned the distributor to set the timing, but it doesn't get better. Is it the valve timing? Manual petrol pump not strong enough? Blown fuse on the original petrol pump. (Car is electronic) Please help.
