My 1986 Honda Predule Si has the side, rear and licence plates lights come on when I turn on the ignition switch to the assy and on positions with the light switch in the off position.

Any recommended fixes?

Two things come to mind. One is to take the switch apart for the lights. I have had them apart several times and they really are rather simple. I suggest if you do this to have an other set of eyeballs watching to see what goes where. There are not a lot of pieces that will fall out Most of the stuff is common sense type stuff and a good cleaning might be just what is needed.

BEFORE taking the thing a part, the other suggestion is to go over the grounds on the vehicle. This might scare you but on a typical Honda there are upwards of 70 grounds on the vehicle. Those grounds get corroded and rusted. Look at those as well. I can't tell you where to look but use common sense.

I think you may have hit it on the head.

I was rewiring my radio and may have it grounded to the wrong source.

I'll let you know if that was the case.

Thanks for the directions
