Battery light comes on and causes problems

I have a V4 1989 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si 4WS with 147000 miles on it. Whenever I drive my prelude the battery light flickers for a minute and then comes on which makes all the other lights in and on the car dim. My wipers even slow down drastically and my car makes a little more noise than normal while driving. I've taken my car into a auto mechanic and had the alternator, battery and connections checked but they told me that everything was working fine. Also, when I rev my engine while it's in park if I get it up to about 3 or 4000 RPMs the battery light starts to flicker off. Is there any other reasons that could be causing this problem?

There's still something wrong with the charging system go somewhere else and get it check.

Get the battery and alternator tested with a VAT40

I disagree, I have seen the battery short out internally intermittently and cause this problem, it will test okay and then a short time later be bad, swap the battery out, here is how:
