This is a 1996 Prelude SI model 2.3 DOHC.
Engine turns over and fires. Engine stutters and will run on 1 or 2 cylinders if gas pedal is depressed approximately half way, and then stalls. If I persist in doing this for about 15 or 20 minutes, the engine will suddenly roar to life, and run all day without any problems. It will start and stop numerous times, and home I go.
Next morning - same problem. Code says "TDC sensor or intermittent connection" I have changed plugs, coil and distributor, (TDC sensor is in Distributor).
I live on Social Security, so I must fix this on my own and would appreciate any input you might give. (Why would a 73 year old grandfather be driving such a neat car? - My son gave it to me and I LOVE it. THANX

Hi Richnliz,

Symptom is similar to an intermittently failing PGM-FI main relay. Item is known to intermittenly fail resulting in the fuel pump not working.

Remove the relay and check the circuit board for cracks on the solders. Resoldering them should work.
