My 04 pilot (49000Miles) is stuck in Park. It will not shif until you stick in a key into the bypass. Once it shifts out of park, you can shift into other gears easily and the car drives (both forward and reverse). There are no check engine lights on.

Does anyone know how to help?

I'm not sure what you mean by "key into the bypass". Check fuse # 47 in the under hood fuse block, and fuse # 8 under the dash. Please advise.

Thanks a million

What I meant by "key into the bypass " is that if you place an object like key or screw driver tip into the small "pin hole" that allows you to shift gear out of park when ignitiion key is not present, then it is possible to shift the gear that way.

But. I will check those fuses and get back to you.

Cool, I guess I didn't read far enough. If all the fuses are good, check for power to the shift release solenoid in the console while you hold the brake pedal down. This solenoid may be bad or just out of adjustment.
