Night driving-lights went dim, charge light on, thought belt broke but ok, eventually died before getting home- towed home
went to Advance Auto and got replacement 4-wire alternator and installed- now getting weird problems,
blower fan doesn't work, charge light is on, 4-wheel drive indicator light on all the time,
have taken to 2 electrical shops- first guy gave up-second guy said all components test ok, but if you leave the 4th wire between the alternator and the computer hooked up the alternator output drops out- he disconnected the 4th wire and the alternator puts out about 14.5 volts all the time now-BUT the radiator fan doesn't work, the 4-wheel drive won't engage.
I'm going nuts over this and need help!

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I am having the exact same problem with my 96 Passport. The major difference is that I'm in Italy and no one here has any clue what's wrong (they don't have Hondas here). If you figured it out please let me know!
