The check engine comes on with a code p1456. I know it is a evap code. Most of the evap problems is a loose gas cap. The gas cap is tight. What else can it be?

Hello !

P1456 Leak Detected In EVAP Control System

Check all the hoses somewhere on the closed circuit of the system its a leak. (Pressure leak) the evaporative system helps controlling the fumes from the gas and lead them to the charcoal canister.

Follow the under hood schematic that should guide you to find the trouble hose.

With a faulty gas cap the gases wont be contained on the system and the ecu receives a signal and lights the malfunction lamp.

We appreciate your Donation!

Thanks a lot!

Good Luck!

Should be a broken hose.
